Not sure when to go ?
Planning your safari begins with the right safari circuit and the selected time of year for traveling. There are two notable seasons when traveling to Africa. The dry season also known as Africa’s winter, is when most of the travel to African parks and reserves are the busiest. the Months of June - Sept. Vegetation is low and and surface water is scarce, making it easier to spot game. Buts its much cheaper to travel in the low and shoulder season, when the bush looks more beautiful, although you will encounter rain sometimes and will be a bit harder to spot game.
There are lots of baby animals to view in the low or shoulder season as well. It is very hot from December to end of February. The seasons in sub Saharan Africa are opposite of those in North America. Summer is December to March, autumn is April and May, Winter is June through September, and spring is October and November. High season, lodges and safaris are more expensive than traveling in the low or shoulder seasons. Our Season Value safaris feature some of the best parks and reserves priced less expensive than during the high season months. Why Private Concessions are the best way to explore africa
Those looking for privacy on an African Safari may prefer to be based in an exclusive camp in a private concession, where expert safari guides are specifically geared toward leading walking safaris. Small group safaris can be arranged with professional guides and a private vehicle.
The private concessions offer a more intimate safari experience and less crowds. One of our favorite concessions in Botswana is The Khwai Concession. This is just an example of the many private uncrowded concessions that we offer. View private concessions in other destinations for a real off the beaten path adventure to all of Africa. View: Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Namibia.
For those travelers wanting to participate in traveling to Africa while benefiting the local communities, we suggest your view our conservation safaris.
