Place: Linkwasha is situated in a private concession in the best location in Hwange. It is found near the famed Ngamo Plains, where wildlife gathers in numbers during summer – to add to the year-round excellent viewing from the camp itself; Linkwasha overlooks a pan that is a magnet for game seeking to quench its thirst.
Accommodation: The camp is an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors and Ndebele culture, its nine luxurious tents (eight twin and one family) overlooking the scenic plain. The main area includes various multi-level decks, amongst them, a cosy library complete with fireplace and shaded salas surrounding an inviting pool. Our nearby romantic Star Bed looks onto a productive waterhole.
Purpose: Alongside our non-profit partner, Children in the Wilderness, we work closely with the surrounding communities and schools, ensuring they benefit from conservation and sustainable ecotourism. Guests can enjoy a local village visit which often includes a guided tour of the school, meeting the headman or participating in community projects.

Standard Guest Tent(s)
Eight twin-bedded canvas tents each with two three quarter beds. Each tent comprises of en-suite facilities with double vanity basin, tea and coffee making facilities, and an electronic safe. An air-conditioning unit as well as additional ceiling and pedestal fans are provided in each of the rooms.
Bathrobes, liquid soap, shampoo & conditioner, body lotion, insect repellent, shower caps, vanity kit with two cotton tipped swabs and cotton balls, tissue dispenser, washing powder,umbrella, room spray and a mosquito coil are supplied in each tent.
One family canvas unit consisting of two rooms (a main bedroom and a living room that can be converted into a second bedroom) each with their own bathroom. On request the main bedroom, with two three quarter beds (can be converted to a king-size bed on request) while the living room/2nd bedroom can accommodate two beds for children. The main bathroom has a shower and bathtub and the second bathroom has a shower and single vanity basin.

Linkwasha Camp - Game drives in open Land Rovers
Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe at 14 651 km² with varied habitats and vegetation types – meaning that game drives are exciting with always something new to be seen. (Wind-resistant ponchos are provided during winter months.)

Hwange was proclaimed some 80 years ago and has served as a haven for one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa. There is no better way to experience this park than on foot with one of our experienced safari guides.
Linkwasha Camp - Evening drives
The Hwange ‘night-act’ includes nocturnal species such as lesser bushbaby, spotted hyaena, leopard, lion, Selous mongoose, pangolin, caracal, porcupine, scrub hare, springhare and even honey badger.
Linkwasha Camp - Village visit
An authentic village experience takes place in a manner that is respectful to all parties. Usually around four hours and guided by one of the local villagers or a Wilderness guide, it often includes a guided tour of the school, meeting the headman or headwoman and enjoying cultural exchanges with the villagers.
